Essex Bridge is a historic 16th-century packhorse bridge in Staffordshire, England, spanning the River Trent. Built by the Earl of Essex, it is one of England's longest packhorse bridges. Close to the National Trust’s Shugborough Hall, and next to the Trent and Mersey canal which runs along side the river at this point
