This is me...
I'm Jan, an artist, boat dweller and cake lover. I'm one of the luckiest people I know. I love the life I lead and the opportunities it gives me to paint the beautiful UK waterways.
Most of my paintings are acrylic on canvas or cradled board. More recently though, I'm enjoying becoming reacquainted with mixed media.
I'm a member of The Guild of Waterway Artists and exhibit with them at least twice a year.

This is The Art Boat...
My boat is my home, studio and Gallery. During the Spring and Summer I pop up at festivals and floating markets as The Art Boat, showing and selling my paintings and prints.

This is the first mate
Meet Lily. Boat dog, studio companion and guardian of my wellbeing. The last one is the accidental bonus of having a canine companion who needs regular walks. I can get obsessive when painting, travelling or even working on building this website! Lily doesn't let me forget I need regular breaks, and I think my painting is improving with the forced time out. I am also getting to explore much more of the scenery close to the canal that I ever did before. Thank you Lily... you are an invaluable part of the team!
