Just a short one this time.
I needed to quickly let you know the itinerary for The Art Boat for the next couple of months. You are probably aware by now that this year I’m travelling with the lovely Hippie Boat and getting to visit lots of “new to me” places.
We have worked out a schedule, that we will try to stick to, but as usual weather and stoppages may affect our plans.
This is the current route plan.

This weekend we are in the lovely Village of Parbold from where I am writing this blog post. This is the view through my (dirty) window.

New work.
I have so many things that I want or should paint at the moment. So many lovely places that I am passing through. Sometimes the choice can be overwhelming but I have had a head worm (like an ear worm but instead of a tune…a recurring idea or thought that won’t go away!) I have been wanting to paint a series of “Seasons” paintings again.
It is about 5 years since I painted “Bridge for all Seasons”, and I thought it was time to revisit the idea. The head worm that I’ve been having is the little fence in this painting.
Autumn walk along the towpath.
It has appeared in several paintings over the years, but hasn’t actually existed for many years. I have a feeling that it was broken and then removed. I’m not really sure. Anyway it doesn’t exist anymore. Nevertheless, it has decided it wants to be painted again, and who am I to argue, so I have found these four 10 inch canvases which I have already prepared.
Lots of colour and texture to start me off. I’m hoping to have them ready for Burscough on the Easter bank holiday, but we’ll see!
